6 Hours to Folegandros up to 8 Persons (Topline 7m)

We leave Platis Gialos’ marina heading south-east. After Platis Gialos, on our right, there is the small uninhabited island of Kitriani, on which there is only one building, the church of Panagia Kitriani.

Heading south – southeast and after about 16 nautical miles, we are going to reach the island of Folegandros. Our first visit will be on the coast of Agios Georgios, a small and quiet inlet, where we can enjoy the crystal clear waters of the beach.

Continuing our journey and heading southeast, we are going to pass by the southern beaches of Folegandros. On the way, we pass by Ampeli and the bay of Vathi, with the two largest and most popular beaches of Agios Nikolaos and Agali. Now we can enjoy our coffee and swim in the area while getting a first taste of Folegandros.

Departing from Agali, our destination is the best beach on the island, Katergo, a beach with calm and clear waters, thanks to the morphology of the coasts around it. After enjoying Katergo, our final destination is Karavostasis, the main port of the island. Here it is worth stopping and taking the local bus to visit Folegandros’ Chora.

Built above the bay of Piaka, its unique view and traditional architecture bring to mind once again the beauty of the Cyclades. Here we will explore the picturesque streets of Chora, where you will have the time to have a coffee and visit the local shops in the area. Finally if you like walking, you should visit Panagia of Folegandros, where from the view is going to be the best memory of our short trip.

Leaving, we will descend again back to the beach of Karavostasi to take the road of return towards Sifnos.
